Low EXD Battery Warning
The Low EXD Battery Warning warns you when the battery in your External Device (EXD) is low on power and needs to be replaced. Note that this condition has no affect of the operation of your implanted device (IMD). Your IMD will continue to operate normally and will still vibrate in your chest if it issues a See Doctor alert or Emergency alarm. It does mean however, that if the EXD battery is not replaced within a few days, the EXD will not be able to beep and flash as intended if your IMD issues an alarm or alert.

The Low EXD Battery Warning consists of a single chirp sound that repeats every 30 seconds until the battery is replaced. You can silence the warning temporarily for 12 hours by pressing the button on the EXD.
Move your mouse cursor over the animation to the right to see a Low EXD Battery Warning on the EXD.
